I am unable to comment on the property condition and area around the property as I did not venture around the property nor did I inspect it. It is situated in the hub of the QUT Kelvin Grove precinct. The facilities appeared clean and the hotel cleaning staff were lovely. Our stay at the Quest was pleasant due to its location and our needs however, it could have been much better if my interaction, by way of email communication with the General Manager (Peter) and staff member (Gabriel) was better before arriving. It started very badly because of unclear advertising via the Wotif booking site and the Quest webpage. In my circumstances, both staff members were not flexible or did not appear to understand or reason with my reasonable and rational request, which was initiated more than 48 hours before arrival. Both relied on fine print that I had missed. In my opinion, they were not listening rather than stating words like 'Thanks for bringing your concerns to our attention" and "We will review your comments to make improvements." For any person just looking quickly for accommodation (very standard for me) and not looking through all the fine print (opening all hyperlinks), there is much better value accommodation available with standard expected inclusions which are extras at Quest Kelvin Grove. Management (Peter) did not respond to emails sent.
