Beautiful private house but lacking the security, comfort and amenities of a 4 star guest house. We do not recommend.
Security: No security locks on room doors and a 'honour system' for locking the main entrance door. We put a chair against our door for security. The "Check-out" process meant leaving our keys on the kitchen counter.
Comfort: Bed mattress and pillows (foam) were lumpy; we didn't get a good night sleep. Top sheet was percale 180 thread count (Thomaston t-180), covered by thin nylon blanket (Vellux). Polyester comforter.
Amenities: Contrary to their Expedia profile, there is no room service or dining options. The host referred us to Uber Eats. Parking is street parking.
What could be improved:
- Security locks for guest room and main door security system.
- New or better quality mattress, pillows and bedding.
- Remove reference to room service from the Expedia website (intentional misrepresentation?, the host said it meant they "serviced the room" ) .
- The host has a strict policy requiring guests to remove their shoes at the front door. They should provide house slippers as is customary in this situation. The host provided me slippers when I asked, did not offer slippers to my spouse.
- Remove the first picture from their Expedia profile that shows what looks like a hotel tower. It's the first picture that pops up when using the Expedia mobile app.
