High quality hotel with good fitness facilities including an outdoor and indoor pool (water is a bit cold though). Rooms are huge with a very comfortable bed, and are very clean and well maintained.
WiFi in rooms is not great, better in the lobby. No bar that I could find and info on where the two restaurants are located was poorly signposted and poor info on them in the room. They are on level B by the way.
E-cafe Western restaurant was ok, but they literally had the same buffet selection every evening. Breakfast options were fine for western taste, but very expensive. I didn’t try the Cantonese restaurant.
Very little I could find to do in the local area other than the sports facilities. No bars or restaurants within easy walking distance, but there is a small supermarket next door.
Convenient 10-20 minute drive to the canton fair in the free shuttle bus provided, dependant on traffic. Staff spoke enough English to deal with booking taxis etc. Be aware there are two chateau star river hotels in Guangzhou so make sure you have the full mandarin address with you when getting a taxi back to it.
It would be on my shortlist to stay again, but the poor WiFi in the room and lack of a bar stop it from being my 100% go to option. If they sorted those I would stay there every time I visit Guangzhou!

It's in the middle of nowhere. Very slow check in as only 1 person spoke English. And also they are using very strong airfreshner at the lobby that was actually causing real headache.

This is an amazing hotel. The places oozes luxury, the rooms are brilliant, the staff cannot do enough for you, the food is out of this world and there are some parks nearby with lovely walks along the river.
Only small criticism is that drinks and food are slightly expensive but the expected cost for a 4 or 5 star hotel.

My stay at the hotel are not to bad, the services are great and hotel staff are friendly. The only thing is that my room do not have a sofa and small table only with a working table with a chair, if a room with 2 person there will be no place to sit but only on the bed.

Not a good hotel for business travelers
The hotels internet was beyond poor. I had to summons help ( finally receiving a router) three times. When checking out and telling the clerk of the problem, she advised me that many many guests complained of the same problem, which suggests the hotel management could not care less to fix the problem. After my first day of trouble, I asked for a free breakfast or something for all the headaches and was denied such. Service not up to par. Hotel was nice, very clean, but in a so so location.

Paradise away from the busy busy city
Nice hotel for relaxation located in upscale residential area not close for shopping and dinning. Bus stop 1/2 block from hotel $1 RMB will take you into town center or subway station to Guangzhou city. Taxi were almost non existent in that area must call ahead to get one.

Excellent hotel
The hotel is brand new and beautiful. The room was very large and the bed and shower were awesome. Definitely will stay here again.
The location itself is a little far from 'downtown' PanYu.

Nice modern hotel - value for money at trade fair
Good value hotel with all modern facilities & very comfortable. Food was ok. Staff are very helpful & location on the river is nice. Only thing was that taxi drivers kept taking us to the other hotel from the same chain close by (even when we gave them a card with the address on it) but that is a minor frustration.

Very decent Chinese 5-star
Located in a quiet area with a convenient 10-15 ride to Pazhou. Some refinements are needed to match the luxurious building. The breakfast needs some improvement with the addition of at least a few dim sums. The coffee also needs change as it is almost undrinkable. The towel basket needs to be removed from next to the toilet seat as due to its height, each time I tried to go to the toilet, I would heard myself. Other than that, the deluxe room with a King size bed is very comfortable, the bathroom spacious and showers with very strong water pressure. Some fine details could have been in place to make it even better. I would probably go back to this hotel.

The Best in China
Nicest hotel I have stayed in in China. The only draw back I had was it is not close to anything. Great view. For sure a 5 star hotel. Good resturants.

Great hotel
We arrived at the hotel at 7am and were able to have the room early since we were only there on a short stop over. We've stayed in a lot of high quality hotels and this was probably one of the best we have stayed in! The staff were all friendly and polite, and were able to help me check the flight time with the airline (albeit after a long translation conversation with gestures, once I wrote it down it was understood). The breakfast buffet was quite big, but not much food was out and it was not replaced quickly - maybe because there were only 2 or 3 tables occupied, but it wasn't really worth it but there weren't many options near the hotel. The room was very nice, with a massive king bed. The bathroom had a jet tub facing a TV in the mirror, and a fantastic rain style separate shower.
We would definitely stay here again. A taxi to-from the airport should cost around 200 CNY, but there are people at the airport who will try to charge up to 600. They also couldn't find the hotel, so print out the name in Chinese before you go.

observations
The hotel is very nice and new the only 2 problems it has are that it is not so close to the canton fair or the center of the city which makes transportation necessary as well as their is a toll charge to get into the city from the hotel so the taxi adds that every time you go or come back.
the second thing i didnt like is that since its very near the river its very humid and as a consequence their is many mosquitoes in the area including in the hotel.
otherwise the hotel is very luxurious and the staff is very nice
