Front desk staff could try to be a bit friendlier, I had a feeling the lady behind the desk didn’t want me there, probably my Eastern European appearance bothered her.
What I didn’t like so much about the room were the curtains that didn’t fully close making it a bit of a privacy issue and the shower which you couldn’t run at normal water pressure due to water not draining fast enough and slowly backing up towards carpeted area.
Room was very nice and clean, lots of good quality toiletries (shower gel and soap did not feel like average cheap stuff hotels usually provide) including comb and shaving kit for gents (nice touch), nice big windows with lots of light, a great victorian room refurbished to a high standard.
Parking was free and included which was the main reason we chose this hotel and location is good with close proximity to promenade and other local area attractions.
Breakfast was disappointing despite costing £40 for 2 people, 1 small egg, 1 lonely hasbrown, 1 sausage and a few very dry bacon rashes, beans didn’t taste very good.
