This had all the amenities of a hotel, with a hostel vibe. Comfy bed, and good shower and tv in a private room, and lots of common spaces with funky art on the walls and a lively connected pub with live music every night (called DisnDat). The pub music at night and construction in the morning could make it difficult for a light sleeper, but that’s what white noise is for. And if you book for this location, you’re here for the pubs anyways. With one exception of a surly night shift gentleman who might have been having a bad day, the staff (and everyone in Dublin) was very friendly and helpful. I recommend Voyager across the street for a (relatively) laid back pub with excellent Irish food and whiskey.
