8/10 Muy bueno

We stayed at Akkandi veedu for one night during late March. Upon our arrival, we were warmly received by one of the staff there. (Forgot her name. May be, Radha? Rama?) She sent the bell boy to get our luggage upstairs (There are no elevators.). The WiFi was great. The dinner was very good (freshly prepared onsite). It cost us around 920 rupees for 3 of us. The hot tea they served was easily the best I have had in a very long time.
The chef was Mercy. She gave a personal touch to the food. She interacted as if we were family members.
We were a family of 4. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.
We did have a few shortcomings though.
The breakfast on the following morning was quite late. There was no morning tea available as well until 7:45 am. It turned out that Mercy had to come in to make the tea and the breakfast, and so we had to wait until she came in and prepared them.
There was no hot water available for shower after two of us took shower. Looks like the water heater has very low capacity.
The main reason I booked this place was the patio, which I thought all rooms had access to. However, it turned out that our room was one level above the patio, and therefore we did not have the access to it. It was a big minus for us, but I think the fault was mine. I should have confirmed this before making the reservation.
Just before leaving, my son accidentally broke the tea cup. We informed them about this, and they charged 100 rupees for that :-)
