2/10 Poor

Kitchen and cleaning staff good, management bad
I saw a mosquito in my room, and was kept up most of the night by bites on my head and neck. In subsequent days, I had extremely itchy open welts that took a week to heal. The staff said that mosquitos sometimes 'come in from the hallway' and I should have asked to have the room sprayed. Okay, either have your room sprayed or sleep with mosquitos biting. Unfortunately, I left a shirt and trousers in the closet...first time in my life of travel...probably from lack of sleep. I called, and was able to get reception on the phone once, but they don't answer email, and didn't answer my later calls. The kitchen and cleaning staff were good and the facility, though old, was workable. I don't like to give low ratings, but don't like to be ignored.

Just a bed for the night.
This place is just accom and that's all, a bed for the night. Beware if you have a low car don't attempt the underground parking you will scrape the front bar and middle under.. I had to park in the street which is a little dodgy. Other than that ok.

Cozy room Amazing continental breakfast
The Breakfast Buffet is amazing. They have Baked Beans!!!! And the room is clean and cozy. Easy access to main town , walking distance to Botanic gardens and even darling harbour. Few cons, My partner hated how slow the elevator is and outside our balcony is facing someoneelse's balcony and we struggled to sleep coz every night some people are hanging out in that balcony talking so loud all night and morning and certainly ruined my partner's mood. Lol But other than that I love how cozy the place is. Definitely still recommending this place.

Friendly, helpful staff. The lower floors have patio access, which was quiet, shaded and very pleasant. Excellent breakfast buffet the morning after. The only real downside was the low hotwater pressure.

It may not the flashiest hotel, but its certainly bang for your buck. The bed was super comfy, and the rool was clean. The room we stayed in had everything we needed for our one night stay, including a fridge, kettle, and microwave. The receptionist was lovely and very accommodating. We got stuck in Sydney with an 8 hour flight delay on a Sunday and we were allowed to leave our carry-on in their storage area. As two ladies, we felt safe on the property and surrounding areas. Will definitely be booking this accommodation again in the future.

Room was good and very clean, can tell they pride themselves on cleanliness. Building is old but they keep it tidy and look after it. The flats nearby were very loud with construction and had lots of rubbish everywhere, not hotels fault and im sure wont last long. Bloke at front desk was very good

Handy location close to waterfront and gardens
I choose this hotel for its location near the Botanic Gardens and a price that was comparible to the airport motels. My room was a good size and had all amenities and was clean. The single bed was comfortable. The extra bed was handy to place my stuff on. They provide a good free breakfast. Had some luggage storage, but not as secure as other places Ive stayed in. Bus and train facilities nearby. I felt a bit uncomfortable walking to and from Kings Cross Station as a solo traveller. The area closest to the station feels a bit dubious. Would feel safer to come by taxi or bus/walk from whalf end of street

I like many things about Mariner's Court Hotel. The staff are both friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast is simply excellent. As I arrived late then had an early start for a busy day the next day, it was simply wonderful to be able to start the day with a full breakfast that will then kept me going through the day. The rooms are also excellent - plenty of space - with the small balcony being an added asset. The bed was very comfy too. The only suggestion that I can make to improve things at Mariner's Court Hotel, would be to have another power point located near the bedside table so that one can recharge a phone overnight while having it close for the morning alarm. Otherwise, everything is excellent, including the general area around the Mariner's Court Hotel - I love the Woolloomooloo Bay waterfront and being close to the domain and art gallery are also good features. I enjoyed a lovely meal of Mushroom Risotto at the Sienna Marina restaurant nearby and also visited Rivareno Gelato in Potts Point which was just a short bus ride up the hill. I look forward to my next stay at Mariner's Court.
