The property itself is lovely, well furnished and clean. Except, on arrival we discovered a dirty poo-covered pair of pants in one of the drawers in the bedroom.
We had been sent a key code via email. On arriving in the absolute freezing cold late at night, we could not get in. There was no light so we were shining a torch whilst trying to line up the numbers on the key safe. It would not open. After 10 minutes of trying, I rang the emergency contact number but no one answered and I ended up leaving a message. Finally we buzzed a buzzer near the door (no idea where this rang) but someone answered. We had been given the wrong code. She gave us the correct code and we got in. When we came to leave, I again contacted the host to get the number. She sent me the wrong number again.
On returning home I awaited my deposit to be returned within 48 hours as stated, but it took nearly a week and countless messages to get it refunded. If I hadn’t been on the case I could still be waiting for it. Overall disappointing number of problems for what should have been a simple stay. Bad organisation from Travel Nest and their staff.
