This basement apartment is new, modern and on a quiet street with parking however that is where the positives end. We have never been more frustrated staying somewhere. After a 5hr drive we arrived and there wasn’t even a bottle of water in the refrigerator nor a roll of paper towels to wipe your hands in the kitchen. As a matter of fact the liter of water that was in the refrigerator had very little inside of it (leftover from someone else - yuck)! The apartment is so high tech that even turning the lights on was a hassle. We couldn’t lower the shades all the way down because the buttons wouldn’t work thus making the bedrooms extra warm. The AC was being monitored remotely by the owner (!!) so we couldn’t set it where we wanted. We set the AC to 20 because it was hot when we arrived and literally watched the temperature climb to 25 because he was at home controlling the unit. Absolute nonsense! Figuring out how to turn the shower on was another frustration. All of the water from the shower was pouring out onto the floor because the useless modern doors did nothing to keep the water in. The bedrooms had no AC. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms were FILTHY so they were useless in cooling us off at night. The twin beds were comfortable however the king bed had a terrible mattress. You could feel every single coil. Lastly, the instructions in the apartment noted that if all of the beds were used (and it wasn’t deemed necessary by the owner) and extra fee would apply. Absurd!
