8/10 Very Good

A beautiful hotel
What struck me is the front desk gal, upon check-in - a blond, maybe 40's never smiled or said she was happy we chose Hotel Verdant. In fact, she seemed annoyed and unfriendly to us. That was a bit startling. On the second night, the fire alarm (which I now know are very very loud and have flashing lights) went off at 5-6 a.m and they could not get them off. This was the night after a family funeral and I regret the whiskey now, but not getting sleep was detrimental to my mental health that day. Upon check out the hotel did cut 50% off the room stay for one day and that was gracious -- but again - another hotel clerk was equally as crabby upon check out. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooftop bar is stunning. The gym is large and spacious. There was a coffee bar downstairs -- but no one in it. That was a bummer. That would be a great benefit -- a good espresso in the morning.

Nice but a bit lackluster
There were barely any amenities in the room. Thought there might be some lotion or Qtips…nothing. Also looked up to top of the shower and could see water and soap that was residue on the tiles that was not cleaned. Eco friendly lights that turn off in the bathroom are irritating. I live in a metropolitan city so I understand this isn’t the same experience, but for Racine they might try a bit harder to make it a bit nicer experience.

Will be back!
The stay was amazing. The room was spacious amd we enjoyed the privacy of the patio. My only two things that were not my favorite is #1 the bathroo. Door is just a slider. There is a big gap so you do not have privacy. The toilet is positioned in a spot where you could be seen and if you have kids, they can easily open the door on you. That is not my favorite feature. #2 i wish there was a microwave in the room Despite those 2 things, i will definitely be back Nodoubt.

Great stay in Racine!
The hotel was beautiful. Friendly staff, super clean, super comfortable bed, beautiful fireplaces, amazing view from rooftop patio. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

Modern and Cozy
Pros & cons. Beautiful property. Was modern and chic. Very clean. Very comfy room and beds. The attached restaurant was delicious but the service could have been better. The servers were more attentive to the larger party that was dining than the small tables. Also didn’t understand why they were dressed like cowboys when there was no other hint of western theme? The lady at the front desk could have been friendlier. The water pressure wasn’t great and the toilet was wobbly in our room. Also was charged $12 for the bottled water in the room even though there was no sign that it was extra. The rooftop bar was really nice but really crowded, also I wish they had hightop tables so you could actually sit and enjoy the views that you could not see unless you were standing. All in all it was a pleasant stay and I would stay again for sure.

This is a beautiful hotel. Rooms are amazing. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was huge and luxurious. Walm in shower and marble counter top. This was a bargain at $150 a night. Restuarant was good. Staff was average. Off site parking is a short walk away. $5 a night. Must use key card to access your floor in the elevator, that is a nice security feature. I will stay here again.

It was a very pleasant surprise to have such a nice place to stay. The area is going through a regeneration phase but the area around the hotel was really good.

2/10 Poor

There was a used condom under the sink that my wife spotted after we got back from going out after check in and the area is very sketchy. The parking is not at the property which means if you go out at night you have to walk around in an area that is pretty much abandoned and not well lit.

8/10 Very Good

Overall, this hotel was very nice. It looks like it is either new or newly remodeled. The check-in staff failed to mention you have to scan your room key to get the elevator to work so we did kind of look like idiots for a minute trying to get to our room. Just a few random extra notes: the hotel charges a small fee for off-site parking in an open lot across the street (the description of “secured” is just the little arm that comes up when you scan your room key…it is in fact not a secure parking lot as anyone can just walk right in) and they also charge a “sustainability fee” for each reservation, so expect to see an additional charge after your stay. The parking fee I get (and $5 isn’t bad for a hotel), but the “sustainability fee” is random. And they didn’t mention that fee when I checked in so that was slightly annoying. And they charge tax on not the parking and sustainability fees which is weird. The available breakfast seemed fairly mediocre and I’m fairly certain the person running the breakfast stand didn’t want to fix us anything—as soon as we walked up, she suggested the restaurant down the street as an alternative, which the restaurant (Maple something?) was pretty good. Overall, it was a nice hotel, just know there are some things that may not be explained fully on the Expedia website. (Which may be my fault since I booked through a third party site instead of the hotel’s website.)

8/10 Very Good

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because it’s beautiful, but for the price we paid it wasn’t as great as it should have been. Our room refrigerator still had food in it from the previous guests. Not gross or spoiled, but also not great. Parking is around the corner so it’s less the ideal. I do understand they are a bit limited on space/layout so there isn’t really a way to improve on this. It just felt less than ideal for a hotel this nice and expensive. The town of Racine itself is also strange. On one hand you have this great beach near by and the town really came alive on Friday night, but the rest of our time there felt like we were in a ghost town. We never felt unsafe or anything like that, but it did feel weird how empty it was at times. Again, not bad but also not great. We would love to visit again at some point. The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was great, everything was very comfortable the staff was fantastic. But the stay as a whole was just not quite great. Good, but not great.
