First of all, I’d like to mention that the staff were very kind. The location of the hotel was also perfect for us.
So, we checked in on June 21st with a reservation until the 28th, but after the first night there we had to change our plans. We were fine without a tv in the room, with a leaky ceiling, no a/c, and even with the ants crawling around the bathroom. What we could not endure were the mattresses and pillows that were provided. That first night we didn’t sleep more 30 minutes at a time and the mattress was so hard and noisy that we considered sleeping on the floor. The pillows were of no use and had stains on them. Our sleep is important to us when we travel as we enjoy having jam-packed days, but after that first night we were more exhausted due to the lack of rest. First thing the next morning we made other plans with a hotel one block away, Hotel Catedral, which we highly recommend! Unfortunately we lost out on the money from our reservation at this hotel and although the staff were great, all they could do was offer an air mattress. We checked out Sunday, June 23rd around 2pm.
