This is not a “resort” in any way. It’s a motel. A dirty, old, unkept roadside motel. There isn’t even an actual parking lot. A small trailer park seems to share the same property, as it’s so close, and there are dilapidated sheds and cars behind the building. It didn’t feel safe to walk the couple hundred feet to the restaurant. The smell of dust and stale mixed with Indian food hits as soon as you walk in, and there isn’t one welcoming thing about the lobby or the rooms. Everything is drab. The towels and bedding are ancient. I’ve never had worse pillows. Our bathroom very obviously wasn’t cleaned - there were sandy footprints in the shower and dirt on the floor. The deadbolt lock on the door was broken, so there was a cheap chain lock instead. We woke up to no power, and when I asked the front desk (the owner?), she shrugged and said, “it happens.” Thank goodness we only spent one night.
