One of the best places I've ever stayed
I've done a lot of traveling over the last few years, and this may be the best place I've stayed. The home is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. You can almost feel the history of the place when you walk in. Great owners, wonderful rooms. I cannot recommend this place enough.

The Empress is beautiful & well maintained. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. Unfortunately we were told this time that breakfast was not included in our stay. If we wanted it. We would be charged $20 each. Our expedia information plainly stated Bed & Breakfast & no upcharge mentioned. After paying $251.50 atleast a bowl of cereal would have been nice.

The rooms are meticulous and have all the modern amenities, great style and decor, and they have added all the special touches to ensure your stay is perfect. This property is a very nice old mansion and just visiting is like being in a museum. Everything is 100 years old at least and the decoration of the house is magnificent. You have different options to stay, either in the main house or the carriage house. We were in the carriage house and it was really quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was the cherry on top. We will certainly go back
