Your brave if you stay here!
Could only describe it as being like a cell in a foreign Jail, Blood stains on the bed, No running hot water, No coat hangars, Damp & mould on the walls, Absolutely horrific. I arrived late then tried to shower but couldn’t as the water was ice cold (outside was 2c), Complained to no avail then when getting dressed to leave I seen the blood all on the bed and the overall condition of the room was like a horror movie.

The Shining in Wolverhampton
This is a truly bleak hotel. Depressing and intimidating. The receptionist was indifferent at best, to the point of being rude. The building was in a poor state of repair, shabby, with black mould. I had to find my room through a maze of weird corridors that had a distinct feeling of The Shining - if I turned a corner to a pair of creepy twins I wouldn’t have been surprised. My room felt damp. The mattress was as cheap as they come and my single pillow was flat. The bathroom was truly horrible. Yellowed, dank, mouldy, the fan a clattering antique. The sink had no plug. The room smelled of damp. The heater was a cheap, rickety affair. At 2.30am the drunkards really kicked off. They carried on all night, slamming doors and shouting until 6am. Very, very intimidating. There was no phone number for reception in the room. Everything about this hotel is just so grim, I wouldn’t stay there gain if you paid me. Avoid at all costs.

Awful place
My room was ok but the television didn’t work and the remote wasn’t correct there were broken tiles around the shower which were dangerous and to top it all off the electrics blew where I had no lights in the morning to be able to see whilst I showered the bed was very uncomfortable I would never stay there or recommend to anybody!

Cheap for a reason.
Just needed a last minute somewhere to get my head down before heading home. Sounded lovely on the website and it was cheap. There is a reason for that. VERY outdated! Lights hanging off the wall, cupboard doors falling off. Threadbare carpet and the most rickety bed I’ve ever seen. Clean enough though. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

Dirty hotel.
Terrible. Checked out before spending a night due to the cleanliness of the room. Hotels.com won’t refund my charge because the manager won’t reply to their emails. Very poor service from hotels.com

TV not working, no bulb in bedside light, no spare bulbs! Bed base partly collapsed, windows not easily opened, room rather grim. So all in all not a good stay. The only upside was that it was cheap.

Hotel probably hasn’t been updated since the 70s. We personally loved that however the TV didn’t work, there was no wifi, the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the cleanliness could have been better. It wasn’t awful though and not enough to put me off staying again if I was in a pinch. Loved The Shining vibe.

HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARD!!! I would advise to avoid at all costs. The room had fixtures and furnishings falling apart and off the walls. The bathroom was covered in mould and the staff are not at all helpful when requesting a refund due to not wanting to stay in a filth ridden place.

Stay elsewhere
bedside lights didn't work, TV in room didn't work, no hot water available in room, bar not manned, no wifi available in room, car park used a meeting point for boy racers. A poor nights sleep resulted. Staff appeared ambivalent to the above matters.

We needed to drop someone nearby so decided to stay over Staff were overrun, not paying attention to arrivals, in the reception. Wedding party were noisey, 2am they finally stopped making a noise outside our window, glasses being smashed. It says restraunt and events, no food service at all. Room was large and usable, bathroom tiles falling under the bath. 1 tea bag. Tv stopped working at 11pm and started again at 9am (bizare) only wanted to drowned out the noise of wedding guests, There was no effort to stop the party shouting and screaming from the owners.
