Hampton by Hilton Dublin - worth checking out
We were upgraded to a King Room which was a nice gesture by the hotel and the room was very comfortable. The hotel was convenient to the Luas tram stop Four Courts. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice to suit all tastes. The only down side which I think was out of the hotel's control was a very bright light directed from the roof of the nearby garda station which was shining directly into our room on the 5th floor. It came on at dusk, shone all night and went off at dawn. It ruined the room view at night of Dublin Four Courts and surrounding areas. One other thing which I should mention. During the evening I came down in the lift to the ground floor and inadvertently exited from the lift the wrong side (on the ground floor the lift doors open at both sides). Instead of exiting into reception I exited the other side and ended up in the basement. There was a covering on the floor where work on the lifts was being carried out. There was a lack of exit signs and in the event of a fire with lifts closed down it could be difficult to exit the building.
