Point Pleasant Inn
The rooms were large and spacious. Looked newly painted with new floors. I personally like carpeting and the rooms was wood laminate so stayed cold. The towels were gray not white so did not use them. They looked dirty although the room was clean. It had a stove sink microwave and refrig but no cups for water or soda. There was an issue checking in. The man checking us in was not very personable at all. He instead on payment, which I understand as I choose pay at hotel, but was notified by my bank at 9:45am that payment was already made, I did not check in until 5pm. After going back and forth with me getting annoyed and ready to leave and him just not hearing me and insisting, my husband came in and showed him the charge on my back. He decided to just pay it and we would take it up with Hotels.com. While I was calling them, he all of a sudden found the charge slip, it was indeed charged at 9:45am. Keep in mind that check in time was 1 pm and it was now 5pm. When I asked why it was charged at that time and not when I got there, he had no answer.

If you’re looking to over pay for an absolute dump then this is your place. This motel should not be more than $50 a night, but sadly I payed almost 5 times that amount. Would not recommend.

This property seemed like a crack motel. They would t supply 2 keys for the people in the room. There was blood stains all over the comforter and some brown stains on the other. The towels also were stained. The air conditioner on the wall was completely broken so they put a tiny one in the window that barely cooled the room. The other people staying at the hotel seemed to live there and were not very welcoming. The pool - the main reason we picked this hotel was closed. And they lied about the location to the boardwalk. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!!

Thankfully i checked in at 9pm, left arrived back at 2am and was out by 7pm. There were dead roaches in every corner, there were some wondering around in the room, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been clean in months, the sheets and blankets were all stained with all kinds of who knows what. No toilet paper, never again!! If i could give it 0 stars i would. The pool was closed.. just horrible!! The man in the office did not care at all when i mentioned there was roaches everywhere. 0 STARS

Do not go here
- yellow stained sheets - had to turn the breaker on myself - AC barely works/ leaked a literal 2 gallons of water - fridge did not work - dirty shower - no bottom sheet on box spring - door was unlocked when I went in there for the first time

The manager/owner does not care about the state of the rooms and property what so ever. The pool was not even open in August. When we pulled in to check in the police were checking a domestic disturbance in the room they put us in right next door. The manager just stated some people have “extended stays” and complain about not being able to tie their shoes so they call the cops.” The room reeked of cigarette smoke SOO bad, sand covering the floors, dirty bathroom and shower, someone stabbed the fridge with what appears a knife. This place was disgusting, we were so happy to leave and go stay somewhere else for the weekend, do not even waste $99 on this place!

Room experience
The room that was assigned to me smelt like heavy smoke. My wife has asthma and she definitely couldn't stay in that. I went to the owner/manager and explained to him on the condition of the room and without hesitation, he changed my room to a newly remodeled room. Apparently all the rooms are being remodeled. My new room was completely new and possibly differs family who used it since the remodel. When we left my son forgot his Nintendo switch adapter and the owner was kindly enough to call and send a text stating that it was found. I would definitely stay again.

This was a terrible hotel room. No air conditioner except a small window unit, entered the room and it was 89 degrees. Couldn’t close the curtain as it would block the air conditioner. Comforter was stained and dirty. The bathroom shower was leaking and water was coming out of pipes. The worst experience ever. I have video to prove it.

This place should be shut down. In all seriousness there is no chance this facility could pass even the most lenient health codes. Toilet wouldn’t flush, mold on the AC unit, what looked like blood stains on the sheets, the list goes on. We never unpacked our bags, politely told the gentleman at the counter that we wouldn't be staying and gave back the keys. Simply asked for a refund the next day which the manager refused. Had we received the refund honestly I wouldn’t have spent this time writing this review. But here we are, don’t make the same mistake we did
