We arrived after 9 pm after a very long day. When we got to our room, we found the door ajar, the lights on and the blankets in both beds turned down. My husband returned to the Front Desk and shortly thereafter, a Manager came to evaluate the room for herself. She asked if I had turned down the blankets and I explained that I had not even taken off my jacket. I was standing there with the luggage cart holding my belongings. She then said she had a room across the hall that was available so I moved our stuff over there, unloaded the cart and returned it. However, upon returning to the room to turn in for the night, we found that the carpet was dirty, in need of a good cleaning, the pocket door to the bathroom had duct tape where a door knob should have been and the shower stall had a cheap plastic shower curtain hooked over the frame of what was probably a shower door at one time. Finally, the room had no secondary lock on the door found in most hotel rooms to avoid break-ins, only the regular door lock. Had it not been so late and we were so tired, we would have left and found another hotel in the area. This is a first experience of this type with this site.
