Booked our suite for a seven-day stay. Nice main office and grounds lead you to believe the rooms will be far better than they are. Unfortunately, there is a SHOCKING difference between the upkeep of the rooms in comparison to the rest of the property. Carpet was very soiled, couch so dirty that we covered it with a sheet and used it to hold our luggage as there was no way we were going to sit or sleep on it. Dirty handprint on the kitchen wall. On one afternoon, a strong odor of bug spray entered our kitchen (come to find out it was from the adjacent room which our friends had been placed in. They had seen cockroaches on their first day, so they had then been moved to a different suite. Evidently maintenance was now bombing their original room and the odor was subsequently entering ours). I attempted to open the windows, but there were no screens on them (front window nor sliding door) even though the front desk assured me they had screens. Other inconveniences: kitchen was not stocked, unless you consider one plate, two bowls, a fork and a butter knife sufficient for a room advertised to host five guests. Only one packet of coffee for the coffee maker. No blow dryer, and when I requested one from the front desk they said they didn’t have any extras. One roll of toilet paper, only two bath towels. No housekeeping unless requested. We did request it once, but afterwards they didn’t replace anything we had used, except for the two towels. Multiple cigarette burns in bedding.
