Checkin was disappointing, the room was not ready at 3pm checkin, which I would not have minded but when travelling with 2 young children, it made the process quite difficult.
Also the checkin person was not so friendly, no smile, no apology and no free drinks vouchers, it was only the 2nd receptionist that we spoke to offered us a warm smile, pool keycard and then gave us the drinks vouchers. We decided to go shopping and wait for the phone call to say our room was ready but no phone call came so we just went back to the hotel and asked if the room was ready which it was, luckily.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of the CBD and shopping area. The hotel foyer is very grand but the rooms need some TLC. Pool area is clean but no food is allowed to be consumed there, if you order pool service you have to leave the pool area and eat your food in the designated eating area, drinks are allowed in the pool area though. Jacuzzi is obviously heated but the main pool is not, my kids wouldn’t even play in it.
