This is the worst experience ever had with a hotel. The hotel looked like it had been hit by a tornado, even though I know it hadn't. But, we were understanding that things happened not they are renting the rooms, it must be ok, right??
Wrong
It took at least 5 minutes to get anyone to the front desk to check in. Then she stated that they didn't have a working elevator, and the pool (that we specifically booked the hotel for) wasn't available.
On the way to the room, I tripped walking down the hallway because the planks aren't set into the floor.
There was water running out from one of the bathroom, under the wall into the floor.
When we got into our room, the smoke detector has been ripped off the wall and there were exposed wires. Mold in the bathroom. Missing window (on the first floor). AC plug held together with tape. Blood on the bedsheets. Holes in the walls.
We did not feel safe at all. Staff was no help. They would not even talk to hotels.com when they tried to step in and help. When we finally gave up and found a different hotel, this one refused to work with hotels.com to give us a refund.
